Zesty Lemon Butter Fish Fillet

Zesty Lemon Butter Fish Fillet Recipe

Ingredients:

4 white fish fillets (cod, tilapia, or haddock)

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon lemon zest

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried parsley or fresh parsley for garnish

Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Fish:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) if baking.

Pat the fish fillets dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture. This helps the seasoning stick better.

Season both sides of the fillets with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Ensure the seasoning is evenly distributed.

2. Sear the Fillets:

Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Once the oil is hot, place the seasoned fish fillets in the skillet.

Sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side until the fish turns golden brown. Be gentle when flipping to avoid breaking the fillets. (If baking, skip this step and proceed to the next.)

3. Make the Lemon Butter Sauce:

Reduce the heat to medium and add the butter to the skillet. Allow it to melt.

Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Add the fresh lemon juice and lemon zest, stirring to combine.

If baking, transfer the fish to a baking dish, pour the sauce over the fillets, and bake for 10-12 minutes until the fish is flaky.

4. Finish and Garnish:

If cooked in the skillet, spoon the lemon butter sauce over the fillets to ensure they’re well-coated.

Sprinkle with dried or fresh parsley for a pop of color and flavor.

5. Serve:

Serve immediately with a side of steamed vegetables, rice, or mashed potatoes. Don’t forget to drizzle any remaining sauce over the fish for extra flavor.

Enjoy this tangy, but

tery dish that’s perfect for a weeknight dinner or a special occasion!
