Breakfast Rolls with Turkey Sausage, Egg, and Cheese

Breakfast Rolls with Turkey Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Recipe

Ingredients:

1 lb turkey sausage

6 large eggs

1/4 cup milk

12 pieces of frozen or homemade biscuit dough

1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)

Salt and pepper to taste

Butter or oil for greasing

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven:

Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish or baking sheet with butter or oil.

2. Cook the turkey sausage:

Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the turkey sausage and cook until browned and fully cooked, breaking it into small crumbles. Drain excess grease and set the sausage aside.

3. Prepare the egg mixture:

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Pour the mixture into a non-stick skillet over medium heat.

Stir frequently to scramble the eggs. Cook until the eggs are soft and slightly underdone (they will finish cooking in the oven). Set aside.

4. Prepare the biscuit dough:

If using pre-made frozen biscuit dough, thaw it according to package instructions. If making homemade dough, roll it out into 12 even pieces.

Flatten each piece of dough slightly with your hands, creating a small well or indentation in the center to hold the filling.

5. Assemble the rolls:

Place the flattened dough pieces in the greased baking dish or on the baking sheet, evenly spaced.

Add a spoonful of scrambled eggs into the center of each dough piece.

Top the eggs with a generous amount of cooked turkey sausage crumbles.

Sprinkle shredded cheese over the sausage.

6. Bake the rolls:

Transfer the baking dish to the preheated oven and bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the biscuit dough is golden brown and cooked through.

Keep an eye on the rolls to avoid overbaking.

7. Serve warm:

Remove the rolls from the oven and allow them to cool slightly before serving. These breakfast rolls are best enjoyed warm with your favorite sauces or dips, like ketchup or hot sauce.

Notes:

Feel free to customize the recipe by adding vegetables like diced bell peppers, spinach, or onions to the egg mixture for added flavor.

These breakfast rolls are great for meal prep and can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat them in the oven or microwave before serving.

Enjoy your homemade Breakfast Rolls with Turkey Sausage, Egg, and Cheese! Perfect for a quick and satisfying morning treat.
